About the Artist

Approximately six years ago, I returned to school to earn a Masters Degree in Social Work.  Being a psychotherapist
was my dream job and today I am a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

While in school, I realized that I needed an outlet that allowed me to express myself through my creativity.  I
signed up for a stained glass class at the local High School and enjoyed the class so much that I began doing Stained
Glass from my home.  Word quickly spread about my new found talent and people began asking me to custom design pieces for
them.

Everything on the website is handcrafted by me. I am honored that people around the world are owners of my stained glass artwork,
from the USA to England and all the way to Australia.

The process of stained glass is quite labor intensive. The process starts with a pattern.  The pattern is traced onto a piece of glass,
the glass is cut into multiple pieces and each piece is grinded to remove all sharp edges.  Next, copper foil is placed around each piece
of cut glass and they are then soldered together. An optional patina may be added and finally the entire piece is polished and you have
a completed piece of art. As you can see much time and effort goes into every single piece I make.  If you see an item you like, but would like a different color, please feel free to email me and I will do my best to accommodate custom orders. Thank you for looking at my website and my artwork. I hope you enjoy what you see.
Gratefully,  Meredith Lisa Kramer
